Course Overview
This course intends to provide an understanding of substances hazardous to health and how they should be used safely. It gives an insight into relevant legislation and COSHH regulations and displays international symbols so that learners can be aware of the various hazardous substances. It seeks to instil learners with the confidence to implement control measures and to be able to identify hazards and complete and understand risk assessments.
The activities included throughout the course are designed to both involve the learners and to encourage reflection that can be implemented into practice. A quiz is completed at the end of the course to consolidate knowledge gained. Learners are also given the opportunity to evaluate their learning experience.
