Course Overview

This course is designed to give carers the knowledge and information, when developing care plans for children and young people. It will give staff the knowledge in what needs to go in a child’s care plan and why. The course outlines what is required from legislation in completing care plans and key works with children and young people.  Staff will know what is required of them as a key worker and will understanding the procedures for the admission of a child to your home. It gives an insight into legislation and how to meet the requirements of the home and local authority. Also included is the importance of risk assessments and knowing what to information to share with professionals.

The activities are designed to encourage reflective practice into the workplace. The quiz is completed at the end of the course to consolidate learning. A session recap is included at the end of the course where learners have the chance to ask any questions that they may have and are given the opportunity to evaluate their experience of the course.
