Think T.A.N.K – Think, Assess, Nurture, Keep – Control

 

Think T.A.N.K behaviour support programme was developed to support residential care staff working with looked after children. Many children living in residential children’s homes have been subject to abuse, neglect and child sexual exploitation. Our holds are considerate of the trauma that children have experienced, we recognise the challenges that come from trauma and so have developed holds that do not reaffirm their past experiences through use of Physical Interventions. Our holds are designed to release quickly so as to prevent any injury or instance of harm for children or staff, furthermore they are designed to replicate the strengths that children apply so are both non-confrontational and non-intrusive.
